Create OneDay Videos

Getting Started!


  1. Open the OneDay app.
  2. Tap the button on the bottom of the screen that says "+Create a New Story".
  3. Select one of the two options:
    1. The resident's name (create a new resident profile by tapping the "+" in the upper-right)
    2. Sales & Marketing Story (use if you are not recording a video with one particular resident)
  4. You'll see all the stories you can record. Tap any of them to make a test video.
  5. If this is the first time you've used the app, you'll get a message that says, "Download Story? In order to create this Story, some assets need to be downloaded." - Tap Download.
  6. You will get a prompt that says, "'oneday' would like to access the Camera." Tap OK.
  7. You will get a prompt that says, "'oneday' would like to access the Microphone." Tap OK.
  8. The first question in the story you selected will be in the center of the screen. You can scroll up and down to change the question. Whatever question is in the center is the prompt you are recording.
  9. Tap the red circle to record! 
  10. Tap the red square to stop the recording.



  • When you stop recording, three options will pop up on the screen:
    • Re-Record Moment - choose this if you want to re-record the moment (someone coughed, they tripped over their words, etc.)
    • Record Another Moment - choose this if you want to ask/answer another question
    • Save & Create Story - choose this if you're ready to make your full video
  • Choose whichever one you want to move forward with. If you want to record more moments, great!






Have fun with this process! You can't break the app, and any test video will be an awesome experience. Keep at it and enjoy learning!
