Share a Video to Social Media

This guide walks through sharing stories to social media. Because LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook prioritize video posts, this is a great way to publicize your community's ongoings.

Upload a video from DESKTOP DEVICE


  1. Head to www.oneday.com.
  2. In the top left, click the three horizontal lines .
  3. Then choose Login and enter the same login you use for the app.
  4. You will now see all the stories your community has created.
  5. Click thevideo you'd like to share on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, or other social media platforms.
  6. Scroll to the bottom of the page. 
  7. Click the  button.
  8. Click the  button.
  9. This will download the MP4 file to your computer in the "Downloads" folder.
  10. Open your social media platform, go to the page you want to post from, then upload the video like normal.

Upload a video from MOBILE DEVICE


  1. Open the OneDay app .
  2. Tap on the story that you would like to share!
  3. This will bring you to the Edit Story screen, at the bottom of the screen click .
  4. This will bring you to the Share Story screen, tap the three dots  in the top right corner.
  5. Tap Save to camera roll option to download the video to your device.
  6. The video is now saved to the camera roll on your device and ready for you to upload wherever you’d like!


Upload a video to Facebook


  1. Click Create Post at the top of your News Feed or timeline.
  2. Click  Photo/Video.
  3. Choose a video.
  4. Select your audience, then click Post.


Upload a video to Instagram


  1. To upload a video or record a new one, first tap at the bottom of the screen.
  2. To upload a video from your phone's library, tap Library (iPhone) or Gallery (Android) at the bottom of the screen and select the video you'd like to share.
